The work: Designed, built and published a mobile app covering India’s launch vehicles, satellites, astronauts and space news, with launch countdowns, push notifications, quizzes, bookmarks and rewards. Integrated Google Sign-In (OAuth2) and subscription payments, used Google and Firebase Analytics to guide feature decisions, and covered the Rails backend with RSpec.

I’m Kapil Dev Pal, a full-stack software engineer taking products from idea to production for startups and growing teams — with Ruby on Rails, Go (Gin) and architecture patterns like CQRS for systems that need to scale.

I don’t just write code to a spec — I run discovery, plan sprints, review pull requests and coordinate a small engineering team through Agile/Scrum, so the product ships on schedule and stays maintainable after handover. That end-to-end ownership, from interfaces to databases to deployment, is what turns a business requirement into software your team can rely on.

My client work spans media production, healthcare staffing, logistics, marketplaces and education. I’ve integrated AI services and payment gateways into production applications and published mobile apps to the Google Play Store and App Store.

Own features end to end for a media production management SaaS platform, from requirements and technical design to testing, deployment and production support. Built Rails applications and REST APIs with React front ends; implemented OAuth2 and social login, role-based access control and granular permissions; built Sidekiq, Redis and Kafka background pipelines plus a Go (Gin) microservice for performance-sensitive operations. Run Agile/Scrum with a small engineering team — sprint planning, backlog grooming, code review and release — and build Go (Gin) services with CQRS (command handlers for writes, event-driven read models for queries) alongside the Rails platform.
